Project Summary

The Drake Place Upgrade is a key initiative within the Pakenham Revitalisation Project. The Upgrade aims to create a more connected, accessible, and user-friendly environment for all who visit or work in Pakenham.

The scope includes the reconfiguration of car parking zones and enhanced pedestrian connectivity providing improved access to the new community hospital, train station, activity centre and new recreational open space area.

This reconfiguration is designed with the future in mind, providing the opportunity for mixed-use development with multi-level car parking.

Key Improvements

The Drake Place Upgrade will feature the following key improvements:

  • Pedestrian Connectivity: Construction of a wide path and landscaped spine adjacent to the hospital connecting the town.
  • Lighting and Landscaping: The provision of lighting and landscaping will enhance the amenity and safety of the space.
  • Parking: The project will include the provision of 90° parking spaces and accessible parking spaces.
  • Improved Vehicle Circulation: The reconfiguration will improve vehicle circulation in the area, making it easier and safer for vehicles to navigate.
