Get involved with our advocacy campaign!

As a growth area, Cardinia Shire is in constant need of major infrastructure investments from all levels of government to ensure that we have the roads, recreation facilities, and community centres that our community deserves.

The 2025 Federal Election is an opportunity to send a message to our politicians about the issues that you care about. Council will help to emphasise your voice in calling for a reduction in traffic congestion, improved community facilities and more local services.

Council is advocating for Australian Government funding to deliver the priority projects listed below. Click on the tiles for more details about these essential infrastructure investments.

Register for our Federal Election Community Q&A with candidates for La Trobe

Cardinia Shire Council invites all residents to attend our Federal Election Community Q&A where you will have the chance to hear from candidates standing for the seat of La Trobe at the upcoming election.

We are proud to welcome strategist and futurist Simon Waller as our moderator as we discuss different perspectives on the future of Cardinia Shire over the next three years and beyond.

Please note that all questions must be submitted during the registration process before the event, questions will not be taken from the audience on the night. We will do our best to ensure a wide range of topics and issues are covered, however due to time constraints it may not be possible to address all questions and issues that are submitted.
