CCWG Policy Review

2 June 2025

Cardinia Shire Council is currently reviewing the Community Capital Works Grant (CCWG) policy, and we're seeking community feedback to help make it even better.

The CCWG program helps community groups and organisations upgrade the facilities they use. Over the past two years, it has supported 61 local projects.

Your voice is crucial in shaping the future of this program, and we want to hear your thoughts on the proposed changes.

The proposed updates to the CCWG policy include:

  • Reduction of Grant Categories: We will streamline the current three grant categories into two, making it easier for you to navigate the funding structure.
  • New Funding Structure: The revised categories will support fully funded projects under $5,000 and projects requiring a 50% community contribution for funding requests up to $70,000.

These adjustments aim to simplify the application process and enhance your experience when applying for grants.

We strongly encourage you to provide your feedback on these proposed changes. Whether you're a previous grant applicant or simply an interested resident, your insights will help us ensure that the new policy meet the needs of our community.
