Creating a safe Cardinia

• The YourGround project aims to find out where women and gender-diverse people feel safe or unsafe in Cardinia Shire. Men are also encouraged and welcome to participate. This will help shape Council’s future planning and advocacy, so we can work towards creating a safer Cardinia Shire for women and gender-diverse people.
• YourGround is a collaboration between Monash University’s XYX Lab and CrowdSpot
• Cardinia Shire Council are partners in the project, along with several other LGAs.
• The information you provide via the YourGround map will help shape Council’s future planning and advocacy.
• The project is running until July 2021.

How to tell us about safe and unsafe locations

If you’re a woman or gender-diverse person in Cardinia Shire, please:

1. Go the map below
2. Agree to the terms and conditions
3. If you are under the age of 18, please ensure you have adult consent.
4. Type in the location or search the map to locate where you wish to drop the spot
5. Click the pink ‘Add a spot’ button to plot where you feel safe or unsafe in our shire
6. Complete short survey by scrolling through the black box on the right of screen and click the pink submit button when completed
