We’re refreshing the play experience at  Ron Andrews Park  with a renewed combination play unit—and we want your input!

Ron Andrews Park is classified as a Neighbourhood Park, which means it serves the local community by providing accessible, everyday outdoor recreation opportunities. These parks are designed to support informal play, social connection, and relaxation for nearby residents, often within walking distance.

The Cardinia Shire Open Space Strategy 2023-2031 helps guide what features and facilities can be included in parks like this, ensuring they meet the need of community while maintaining a balance across different types of open spaces in the area.

Given its classification and the renewal of the playground in 2018, the upgrade will focus on renewal of the existing combination play unit and will not include facilities such as public toilets.

As part of our commitment to maintaining quality neighbourhood play spaces, we’re presenting three exciting design options for a new combination unit. Each option has been carefully selected to suit the park’s classification and character, while offering fun, inclusive, and engaging play opportunities for children.
