Information

Council is proposing to install traffic management devices along Ahern Road as part of Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) Program.

The road is currently ranked as one of the top locations on the priority list due to:

  • Significant crash history and increased crash risk
  • High proportion of speeding traffic
  • Feedback from stakeholders.

Council is proposing to install the following traffic management devices:

  • 4 raised platforms (flat-top speed humps)
  • 2 sets of asphalt speed cushions (single lane humps)
  • Construction of a roundabout at Ahern Rd, Meaby Drive, Ash Crescent
  • Installation of additional street lighting near all new devices.

The installation of LATM devices support efficient travel on roads, manage the environmental impact of road traffic and improve the livability, amenity for the community. See the site plan in the Document Library.
