In 2019, phase 1 of community consultation for the Open Space Strategy was conducted through a range of engagement activities including online survey, school workshops, community pop ups and table conversations with stakeholder groups.

From this feedback, a draft Open Space Strategy has been prepared for Cardinia Shire Council and is now open for phase 2 community consultation.

This document analyses the existing provision of open space across the shire, identifies gaps and/or over supply and provides the strategic direction and justification for the provision and embellishment of open space into the future.

The Open Space Strategy will be the key document which will shape Cardinia Shire’s open spaces for the next 10 years.
