Thank you for your submissions about the proposed road closure. The submission period has now closed. We are considering your feedback and will provide a further update once a decision has been made.
Background: Our Proposal
We are proposing to formalise the temporary closure at the western end of Mulcahy Road, Pakenham. The current temporary closure to motor vehicle traffic is at the Thewlis Road end of Mulcahy Road. It has been in place for the last 12 months during construction of a nearby housing estate.
We are proposing to now formally close Mulcahy Road to motor vehicle traffic between Thewlis Road and Morris Street, then landscape the area. We are also proposing to install timber bollards to prevent motor vehicles gaining access. We are following the required statutory process and a Public Notice about the proposed closure has been advertised in the Pakenham Gazette (19 October 2022).
