This project is now complete
Thank you for participating in our survey! The information you provided helped us to understand the personal circumstances and diverse range of needs that families attending kindergarten have. When working with service providers to develop this year's draft timetables the data collected from this survey was considered. Where possible we have tried to offer a choice of session length (longer and shorter hours) and days to give you more options for your child's kindergarten year.
Cardinia Shire Council is committed to supporting the early years development of children and families. We believe attending kindergarten plays an important role in all children’s development.
While council does not directly provide early years education services, we are committed to ensuring the service is the best it can possibly be, now and into the future, and that services are delivered to meet the needs of our local children and families.
Council appoints Early Years Managers to provide early years education services to our community from council-owned facilities. In order to select am Early Years Manager, Council must undertake a Request for Early Years Managers tender process.
The agreement with the current Early Years Manager to provode early years education services at the 14 stand-alone community kindergartens is set to expire in December 2023.
As part of Council's commitment, we are asking educators and families of the 14 stand-alone community kindergartens to provide feedback via the survey below on your experience of kindergarten. Your participation in this survey will help inform how kindergarten is delivered in 2024 at these services.
The kindergarten services include:
- Andrews Community Kindergarten
- Avonsleigh Preschool
- Bayles Preschool
- Homegarth Community Kindergarten
- Emerald Preschool
- Bunyip Kindergarten
- Pakenham Heights Kindergarten
