Help shape the future of Emerald town centre
We want to hear from you to help inform the Urban Design Assessment of Emerald town centre that will support the future review of the Township Strategy. This work will explore how Emerald’s town centre looks, feels and functions and how it can continue to thrive into the future. It focuses on the heart of the township, including local shops, public spaces and key gathering areas that support everyday life for residents, local businesses and visitors.
Respecting Emerald’s unique character
Emerald is known for its natural beauty and distinctive charm and character. This project is a chance to focus on what locals truly value, protect the qualities that make Emerald feel like home, and ensure the town centre continues to be lively, welcoming and true to its identity into the future.
Community input is at the centre
Community insight is a key part of this process. Council is working alongside Hello City an independent engagement consultant to gather feedback from residents, businesses, community groups and visitors. This will include conversations and short surveys within the township, designed to capture real, lived experiences of how people use and value Emerald.
Why your input matters
Your feedback will help shape a shared vision for Emerald’s future town centre. It will guide urban design decisions that support a prosperous, resilient and welcoming town centre, one that builds on local strengths and reflects community aspirations.
