Our Draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2022 - 2025 is open for consultation.

We are seeking your feedback on our draft Domestic Animal Management Plan 2022-2025. Under the Domestic Animals Act 1994, every Victorian local government must prepare a plan outlining how it will manage dogs and cats within its municipality. We are required to update our Domestic Animal Management Plan every 4 years.

The draft plan sets out information about our daily operations, current programs and policies we have adopted in relation to a range of domestic animal management matters.

What are your views about the draft Domestic Animal Management (DAM) Plan?

To provide your feedback please review the draft plan available in the Document Library on the right of your screen and access the survey from the Feedback: draft DAM Plan tab below.

In developing this plan we also reviewed how we implemented actions from our previous DAM Plan. We recently surveyed registered pet owners and a sample of people who had contacted Council about domestic animal related matters within the last 12 months. We asked them to provide feedback on a range of domestic animal management topics, including their top three responsible pet ownership priorities for Council to focus on. Now it’s your turn.

If you didn’t get a chance to participate in the survey last month, please click on the General DAM Survey tab below.
