30 years ago - on May 17, 1990 - the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems.
International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT) celebrates LGBTIQ people globablly, and raise awareness for the work still needed

IDAHOBIT celebrates our global LGBTIQ+ community and raises awareness for the work still needed to increase acceptance and reduce discrimination.

This year, the day marks the special 30th anniversary of the World Health Organisation removing homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems in 1990.

Create and share a photo of your own rainbow creations and images in support of all LGBTIQ+ people in Cardinia Shire between 17–28 May 2021 and share it below.

Some ways people can ‘go rainbow’ for IDAHOBIT 2020 include;

  • Wearing rainbow
  • Making rainbow food creations
  • Creating drawings/paintings
  • Putting up rainbow posters or decorations at home
  • Rainbow garden art,
  • Photography
  • Poetry
  • Anything rainbow!
