About the project
The Cardinia Creek Regional Parklands will encompass more than 600ha of parkland from Beaconsfield to Clyde on both sides of Cardinia Creek. Within Cardinia Shire, the Victorian Government is expanding the parkland near Beaconsfield and Officer.
The draft Cardinia Creek Future Directions Plan sets out principles and direction for progressive parklands expansion, establishment, and management to be achieved by 2040. The Draft Plan has been developed in partnership with Traditional Owners of the land, the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation.
The Victorian Government is investing $315 million in the Suburban Parks Program to create more than 6,500 hectares of new and upgraded parks and trails across Melbourne’s outer suburbs. Investment into park planning and infrastructure in new regional parks will ensure future generations in these growing suburbs have access to open, green space.
You can provide your feedback on the vision and priorities for the parklands. To do this, please visit the Engage Victoria Website.
