truck driving over dirt road

In early 2023, the Australian Government decided to discontinue funding for this vital program.

Cardinia Shire Council maintains that full funding should be restored as per the original commitments made to our community.

We need investment in projects that will get our communities home safely and improve the resilience of our road network.

We need road projects that will future-proof the road network and provide a safe means to evacuate in an emergency, improving safety and liveability for our community.

We’re confident that this project aligns with the Australian Government’s priorities to fund disaster-resilient infrastructure and invest in the roads that support communities to prepare, respond to and recover from emergency events.

We’re calling on the Australian Government to follow through on their commitment and deliver better, safer roads for our community.
