Jobs and Skills Australia’s latest Recruitment Insights Report shows signs of a more balanced labour market in June 2025.

Findings include:

• 44% of employers were hiring – down from last month, but higher than a year ago.
• Recruitment difficulty has eased
• Employers in regional areas are more optimistic about increasing their staffing levels than those in Capital Cities.
• Turnover remains the key driver of recruitment.
• The proportion of employers unable to fill vacancies within a month, up slightly to 39%.
