More Trees On Farms To Benefit Landowners

31 July 2025

The Victorian Government has launched the Trees on Farms Program, offering grants up to $80,000 for landowners to plant trees, aiming to:

  • Boost timber supply and biodiversity
  • Improve soil health, shade, and shelter for livestock
  • Enhance farm productivity and carbon offsetting
  • Create income opportunities through timber and carbon credits

An additional Incubator Program provides up to $50,000 for planting service providers and forestry professionals to support landowners with tailored project plans, training, and education.

This initiative builds on the Government’s $190 million investment in plantation development, including the Gippsland programs, which aim to plant 16 million trees.
