More Time To Apply For A Tiny Towns Grant

3 February 2026

The Victorian Government has extended the deadline for Round 3 of the Tiny Towns Fund, giving Victoria’s smallest communities an additional month to apply for grants that support local infrastructure, tourism, and community‑building projects. Applications will now close at 4pm on Wednesday 4 March.

The $20 million fund offers grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 for towns with fewer than 5,000 residents. Eligible projects include upgrades to community facilities, improvements to public spaces, and initiatives that help attract visitors or strengthen local connections.

The extension follows recent bushfires and floods across regional Victoria, with the government aiming to give affected communities more time to finalise their submissions. Ministers highlighted the program’s role in supporting local resilience, boosting regional economies, and fostering pride of place.
