The Victorian Government has announced new solar installation discounts for commercial and industrial businesses, as well as community organisations, through the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program. Eligible businesses can save up to $25,000 on a 100kW system and $34,300 on a 200kW system, with additional Commonwealth rebates potentially reducing costs by up to 35%.

These incentives aim to reduce energy bills, support business growth, and create jobs. The initiative also benefits the wider community by easing pressure on the electricity grid and lowering energy costs across Victoria. Facilities such as hospitals, aged care centres, and local government buildings are also eligible.

Since 2009, the VEU program has helped over 2.4 million households and 180,000 businesses lower energy use and emissions.
