Project update
Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback during our consultation back in April. Your insights played a key role in shaping the concept design, which is now ready for your review.
We’re sharing the concept design for the new dog off-leash area and would appreciate your feedback. We’d love to understand what aspects of the plan resonate with you. Are there specific aspects of the design such as the layout, features, or landscaping that stand out to you?
✍️ What do you think works well?
🐾 How might your dog enjoy the space?

Stage 1 consultation April - May 2025
Project history
Council has recently received funding through the Victorian Government’s New and Upgraded Dog Parks program to enhance exercise and socialising space for all dogs and their companions, and we would love to hear your thoughts.
The proposed upgrade aims to improve the facilities and create an engaging and safe space for all dogs to play, explore, and socialise.
We are considering dividing the existing dog off-leash area into two separate fenced spaces to better accommodate dogs of different sizes and abilities. This would mean having one area for large dogs and another for small dogs. Alternatively, we could leave it as one large-fenced area. Which option do you prefer?
The upgrade will also include additional seating, shelter, a concrete walking path, a drinking fountain with a dog water bowl, planting, and other enhancements. Significant improvements to the drainage system will ensure the site is accessible in all seasons.
We are also evaluating the existing agility equipment to see if it is popular with your four-legged friends. Should we retain, relocate, or add to the current dog agility equipment to ensure ample entertainment and exercise opportunities?
Additionally, would you like to see a nature play dog activity area created with logs and boulders? To share your thoughts and complete the survey, please click 'start' below and answer the questions. Your feedback is valuable and will help improve the experience for everyone.
