About Amendment C266
The Amendment is a combined planning permit application and planning scheme amendment under section 96A of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and applies to the land at 39 Wattletree Road, Bunyip.
The Amendment proposes to rezone the land at 39 Wattletree Road rezone the land at 39 Wattletree Road, Bunyip from Low Density Residential Zone – Schedule 2 (LDRZ2) to Low Density Residential Zone – Schedule 3 (LDRZ3) to allow the subdivision and development of the land into two lots for residential purposes.
Specifically, the Amendment proposes to:
- Amend planning scheme map ZN24 to apply the Low Density Residential Zone – Schedule 3 (LDRZ3) to the subject land.
The planning permit application seeks approval for:
- subdivision of the land into two (2) lots
- removal of vegetation
- creation of restrictions on the Plan of Subdivision.
The Amendment is consistent with the Bunyip Township Strategy (September 2009) by protecting the township’s landscaped rural character whilst supporting subdivision inside the township boundary.
At the Council meeting on 13 December 2021, Council resolved to seek authorisation to prepare Amendment C266.
Amendment C266 was on exhibition from 5 May 2022 to 6 June 2022.
Submissions for Amendment C266 closed at 5pm on Monday, 6 June 2022.
No objecting submissions were received; therefore, a report to Council was not required.
At the Council meeting on 15 August 2022, Council resolved to adopt Amendment C266.
Amendment C266 was approved by the Minister for Planning. The official notification is published in the Victoria Government Special Gazette Number S657 Dated 25 November 2022.
